CarInsuRent reimburses the excess / deductible that the rental company charges you when the rented vehicle is damaged – including accidental damage, theft, vandalism, and even damage to components often excluded by others (like windscreen, tyres, under-carriage, roof, etc.).
📄 What You Need to File a Claim If your rental car is damaged?
To file a claim with CarInsuRent you’ll need to collect and submit the following documents/information:
- The rental agreement for the vehicle.
- Your Certificate of Insurance from CarInsuRent.
- A valid driver’s license of the person who was driving when the damage occurred.
- A damage report from the rental company (detailing the costs charged due to the damage).
- Repair invoices or receipts, showing a breakdown of what you’ve been charged.
- Proof of payment – e.g. credit card statement showing you paid for the damages.
- If required (for example if there’s a third-party involved or theft/vandalism, depending on local laws), a police report.
- Optionally (but recommended), your own photos or other documentation of the damage – this helps demonstrate that the charges are reasonable.
📧 How to Submit the Claim Once you have gathered all required documents?
You should email the documents to service@carinsurent.com. Our claims handler will review everything. If we need more information, we’ll typically request it within 48 hours. We aim to complete claims within five (business) days (assuming your submission is complete and there are no delays).
💵 Payment / Claim Settlement
If your claim is approved, reimbursement is paid out directly to you – via PayPal, credit card, or bank transfer (depending on your preference and the amount). The amount reimbursed will be up to the excess/deductible or other coverage limits stated in your policy.
