Having been offered 'Total Protection' by the hire company I decided to look around for a company that wouldn't double my hire costs. I found this website and was very pleasantly surprised at the reasonable cost and options and the simplicity of creating the cover I wanted. Fortunately, I didn't actually need it.
After searching online review, Carinsurent appeared as a good choice and I opted to take insurance through them. I hired a car through Avis and unfortunately our car was hit by another car in the parking lot and damaged the front skirt. Upon our return, I rang the customer service and reported the incident. They referred me to the online procedure and all the requirements. I submitted all the official and necessary documents. Within 5-working days, I was refunded all the expense I incurred.
I'll definitely make another transaction again with them in our future trip and would highly recommend.
Your website was fine and I have no complaints at all.
However, Avis would not sign to say that I had returned the car in good condition, which I think is not acceptable. It means that they could claim against me after the event if they wanted to and I could do little about it. I kicked up a fuss with their management at the Airport until they did sign.
Why should the car hire companies have it all their own way?
For just a little more than the cost of one weeks excess insurance you get a whole year of cover.
It was very easy to setup the policy. They have good reviews, I hope that I will not need to use it.
The site is very intuitive and explains all the in's and out's of the policy. I am very satisfied with the policy. Great value for my car rent.

What response do they expect?
I have not had occasion to make a claim so cannot comment on that side.
Good online presence, easy to follow and understand the cover provided, hopefully i will not need to claim.
Worst claims process ever. They asked for additional paperwork, which I submitted via email on November 9, rang them up last week to check on status (was on hold for 25 mins before I spoke with someone). He told me my paperwork was only processed on November 15. They supposedly have a 4-5 business day turnaround...I got my moeny after 3 weeks.
